The Yard Scoop™ was the brainstorm of the 11-year-old son of one of the owners of NicksNacks, Inc.  Nick Hayes wanted to "make something useful," and because he was in charge of cleaning up the doggy poop, created a way to scoop the poop that was sanitary (you never touch the poop) and easy to do.

In several pet studies, dogs (and cats) are found to transfer many diseases to humans.  Additionally, the responsibilities of pet owners to themselves and the community are just as important.  Pets should not be permitted to defecate on beaches or playgrounds.  Animal feces in private yards and on public grounds should be removed immediately to avoid transmitting parasitic diseases to other animals and to humans.  The Yard Scoop™ makes removal simple and easy.
